Leadership is a skill that must be developed.  Most leaders are placed in the position of leadership because of seniority or because they possessed the skills to master the work that has to be done. The ability to lead a team to reach successful goals is the last thing an organization looks for in a leader.

The leaders that have inspired me in my working career are the ones that challenged me and brought out the best in me. They were able to improve my work performance and most important of all, my attitude toward my work.
