I just got finished watching a popular award show that recognized the achievements in the music industry. I was amused by the display of bad talent that was given the opportunity to showcase themselves on national television. Also, the occasional radical political and satanic rants would appear.
It’s just as sad because now all reputable artists don’t even bother showing up, even if they win an award. Trust me, I know that nobody is perfect. However, one of the attributes that I love about the artist that I grew up with is their honesty and integrity in their art and music. They weren’t worried about getting the ‘shock value’ to get people to recognize them.
I am seeing up-and-coming leaders who know nothing about their platform take the stage, using ‘fear tactics’ as their positioning statements. I have said it a million times. Leaders have a sacred responsibility. Leaders are responsible for delivering the truth and correct information to the people they are leading. People rely on their leaders to guide them so that they can make intelligent decisions on matters.
Instead, we see leaders that pray on the ignorance of their followers to achieve their personal goals. In the world of leadership, this concept will eventually expose the true intentions of that leader. I will take a leader with INTEGRITY over a leader that is popular and who says things to appease me.
